New Kangaroo Processing Plant For Dubbo
Action

Male Grey Kangaroo

The following is a fax received anonymously by the AWPC from
someone in the kangaroo industry.  It gives a clear indication of the
mind-set of those involved in this brutal industry.

14 December 2000

Briefing paper

NEW KANGAROO PROCESSING WORK TO OPEN AT DUBBO

The Dubbo plant will process 2,500 tonnes of kangaroo meat mainly for the overseas market.

Since 1998. The export of kangaroo meat has doubled, and is now being exported to Germany, France, Belgium, Holland, South Africa and now Russia.

Kangaroos are a pest in this country and, thankfully, there are no groups of any significance fighting for them. This makes our job a lot easier. We are able to lead from the front while the groups just jump up-and-down in frustration.

Keep the publicity going!
